Researchers have stated that birds can be taught to understand the meaning of different sounds, even those that they do not hear in their everyday life.

As case in point, and in just two days, biologists have taught a superb fairywren (Malurus cyaneus) to hide when hearing the sound of a signal.

Researchers claim that for a superb fairywren to understand the sound of a signal is the same as for person to learn a foreign language, reported Gazeta.
