YEREVAN. – The surgery of Lyudvig Hovhannisyan, who was taken from the Government of Armenia Building to the No. 1 University Hospital in capital city Yerevan on Monday morning, was a success.
Hospital Chief Physician Karen Sahakyan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Lyudvig Hovhannisyan has been moved to the intensive care unit; he is hooked up to an artificial respiration apparatus,” added Sahakyan. “He is in critical condition.”
Hovhannisyan, 32, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his head, is an officer of the Department of Protection of State Facilities of Armenia.
According to preliminary data, he had attempted to commit suicide.
A criminal case is opened into this incident.
