YEREVAN. – The Philippines’ new Ambassador to Armenia, Carlos D. Sorreta—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow, on Wednesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
First, the President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment. He also expressed the hope that the diplomat will fully devote—during his tenure—his experience and abilities to the development of Armenia-Philippines relations, and strengthening of friendship between the two nations.
Sargsyan stressed that Armenia is interested in intensifying cooperation with The Philippines, and underscored the need for frequent bilateral contacts and mutual visits toward fostering collaboration.
Ambassador Sorreta, for his part, assured that he will invest maximum effort to develop Armenian-Filipino relations. The diplomat also informed that he already held respective talks in Armenia focusing on the preparation of bilateral agreements.
President Serzh Sargsyan wished Ambassador Carlos D. Sorreta success in his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
