YEREVAN. – In 2015, Armenia will return more than 38 billion drams—approx. US$78,394,908—of value-added tax (VAT) to exporters, stated Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan, at Thursday’s Cabinet session. 

He added that, as a result, this amount will exceed the respective sum for the year past.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, for his part, instructed to monitor the timely increase in the VAT, so that the exporters do not encounter any possible complications.

Considering the export activity, the Government of Armenia also decided to move to the third quarter the amount allocated for returning the fourth-quarter VAT.
