YEREVAN. – The Shant (Lightning) 2015 command and staff military exercises have achieved their goal.

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, stated the aforementioned during the awarding ceremony held after Friday’s shooting drills.

Ohanyan congratulated the commanders and staff for the successful completion of this drill, and noted that he is proud of the achievements of the Armenian army.

“This is a result of teamwork by the [military] leaders and rank-and-file [soldiers],” added the minister.

In his words, the algorithm of joint work, which was developed in the past years, has improved.

Moreover, the Armenian defense minister recorded the collaboration with their partners in the CIS, CSTO, and NATO.

“The Armenian army demonstrated a high level of combat-readiness,” stated Seyran Ohanyan. He also expressed confidence that, if necessary, all developed respective skills will be put to practice, and they will ensure uninterrupted peace.

The minister of defense of Armenia awarded the participants with medals, certificates of appreciation, and gifts.
