YEREVAN. – One of the persons, who had sustained injuries in the elevator accident on September 7 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, is in satisfactory condition, whereas the other is in critical condition, but with a positive trend.   

Head of the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center in Yerevan, Samvel Karapetyan, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“There are elements of consciousness in Sargis Ghazaryan’s health,” noted the physician. “And Paruyr Stepanyan is in satisfactory condition; he solely had a broken arm bone.”

Stepanyan, on the other hand, had sustained a cranial trauma.

Sargis Ghazaryan, 46, and Paruyr Stepanyan, 60, were testing a makeshift outdoor construction freight elevator when its cable snapped, and as a result, it fell to the ground from about twenty meters. One of these workers, however, managed to jump off the falling elevator.
