YEREVAN. – The Armenian lawmakers honored memory of Hrant Dink, editor of Agos newspaper, who would have turned 61 today.

Hrant Dink was struggling for a Turkey that would be peaceful and safe for all nations living there, that would respect human rights irrespective of nation and religion.

The events that Hrant Dink warned would occur are already happening in Turkey: the authorities are sowing intolerance and hatred, MP Aragats Akhoyan said, adding that 100 years ago the Armenians were announced the enemies of Turkey, now this about the Kurds.

Hrant Dink, the founder and chief editor of Agos Armenian bilingual weekly of Istanbul, was shot dead on January 19, 2007 outside the office of his weekly.
