YEREVAN. – There were certain prerequisites for Armenia's membership to the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenian MP Karen Bekaryan said in the parliament on Tuesday.

“As a head of European Integration NGO, I have always supported adoption of the European values. But I have never rejected Eurasian Union,” he said, adding that tough “or...or” policy is not useful for such a small country like Armenia.

It is logical that the country decided to enter the same integration union with its partners from a military bloc.

“If majority of EU countries join NATO, we enter the Eurasian Union and CSTO. We cannot underestimate the meaning of security,” he added.
