The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a law on compulsory chemical castration of pedophiles, says the website of the president. "These amendments are aimed at strengthening the accountability of perpetrators and terms of providing data on children who are subjected to legal protection.

They also increase penalties of perpetrators of crimes against sexual inviolability of minors, including the provision on compulsory measure in the form of chemical castration of pedophiles" stated the website.  It is noted that the document will include amendments in the Code of Administrative Offences, the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Code "On people's health and the health care system."
