YEREVAN. - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Karen Mirzoyan on Tuesday met with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Herbert Salber.

During the meeting, Karen Mirzoyan briefed Mr Salber on the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the NKR in early April, the harm inflicted on the republic and facts of the Azerbaijani servicemen’s violation of the international humanitarian law.

Following the meeting, FM Mirzoyan told the journalists that his main aim was to inform the interlocutor on the events in early April and consequences of the four-day war. According to him, the consequences influenced not only the negotiation process, but also the regional security and life in Artsakh. “I stressed the fact that war crimes and crimes against humanity took place during the military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan,” he said.

In Mirzoyan’s words, one shouldn’t expect speedy feedback from the international community. It’s necessary to inform them and watch the situation, he added.
