Director of US National Intelligence James Clapper is confident in China’s plans of creation of an air defense identification zone over the South China Sea in the near future, he said in the interview with The Washington Post.

According to Clapper, during a recent trip to Asia he had a tense exchange of remarks with Chinese officials about the militarization of the South China Sea. The director of US National Intelligence considers that  China already moves in the direction of creations of an air defense identification zone in the disputed region and will soon announce about it, Gazeta reported.
