YEREVAN. - The foreign debt of the Armenian Government currently makes up 51 percent of GDP, First Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan said in the parliament Thursday, introducing the conclusion of the Government on the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) monetary policy project for 2016.  

Nevertheless, in his words, there are no reasons to worry. According to Safaryan, there are no risks related to the debt service in the macroeconomic horizon of Armenia in the coming three years.

According to the Armenian legislation, the national debt of the Government shall not exceed 60 percent of GDP.
