Moscow and Washington keep in touch on the eastern Aleppo. Russia hopes to achieve desired results, said the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reports the TASS.

"We keep in touch with each other on Syria issue, including on issues of the eastern Aleppo. I hope that we will achieve the desired results, and our American partners will not withdraw their consent, as they did in case of the agreement reached on 9 September," said Lavrov. "As for the Raqqa, when there were positive prospects of the fight with the US against terrorism in Syria and strengthening the ceasefire regime for those who separated form terrorists, Raqqa was mentioned as a possible object of our joint actions," he said. As he stressed, however, "thereafter the Americans have not touched upon that subject."
