The Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern has urged  to "close the tap on Turkey’s illicit financial flows," if the Turkish authorities undermine the agreement with the EU on refugees, reports the RIA Novosti.

As the chancellor said, the Turkish government seeks to a "fully conscious escalation, in case of which it will be impossible to cross the red line." If the agreement on refugees with Turkey terminates, Kern would support the idea of "closing the tap on financial flows. "No migration agreement, no money,” he said in an interview.

Initially it was expected, that the European Union will cancel visa requirements for Turkey since October 2016, but it hasn’t taken place due to disagreements over the Turkish legislation, which arose after coup attempt. The European Union insists on making changes in Turkey's anti-terrorism legislation.
