German authorities do not participate in the discussions of sanctions against Turkey, said the German government spokesman Steffen Seibert, reports RIA Novosti.  “The German government is not participating now in a debate about sanctions," said Seibert, adding that Berlin expects from other EU members a clear joint position on the Turkish politics. " It is important to keep open channels of communication," he added. Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn announced that it is possible that the EU applies sanctions against Turkey.
