YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Thursday met with the directors of several investment and development companies of this country.

The interlocutors lauded Armenia’s warm friendly relations and high-level political discourse with the Arab world, especially the UAE, the Press Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. According to the parties, however, there is still great potential for further developing these relations, and therefore they need to work consistently to this end.

Representatives of these Emirati investment and development companies assured that they are greatly interested in the investment policy of Armenia, and stand ready to discuss the respective priorities of the country, visit Armenia, study the country’s investment climate on location, and push the relevant negotiations forward.

President Sargsyan, for his part, informed that Armenia has prepared strategic investment packages, and it will welcome and provide necessary assistance to the UAE investors in Armenia’s economy. He added that in case of major investments, more preferential conditions will be provided, with a special decision.
