A Turkish company, which is cleaning Lake Van and its surrounding areas, has discovered cross-stones at the bottom of the lake.

This occurred while the Lake Van Ferry Directorate was building two ferryboats in Tatvan District of Bitlis Province, according to Milliyet daily of Turkey.

The company has so far brought out a cross-stone, a large cross-stone with a hole, and two round stone shells.

“We reported the situation to museum officials; no one has come yet” said company official Ayhan Dışarı. “I think there are stones like this in the bottom of the lake.”
