Moscow will draw conclusions on a possibility of effective cooperation with Washington in fight against terrorism and on other issues after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s team is formed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated.

Lavrov said that Donald Trump won elections and was forming his administration. He made several statements in the pre-election speeches which were aimed at, firstly, not to interfere with any conflicts that have nothing to do with the U.S., secondly, to deal with first and foremost the U.S. economy and creation of jobs, thirdly, in foreign policy to be engaged first of all in extermination of terrorists, RIA Novosti reported.

Besides, he emphasized that Trump expressed readiness to cooperate with all who are ready to cooperate with the United States in the fight against terrorism, including Russia.

The Minister concluded that as soon as the new administration is created and all the ministers reveal their practical approaches, it would be clear if Russia and other countries could cooperate with new administration of the U.S. on the fight against terrorism and other matters.
