In December 2017, the Government of Armenia will commence improvements in provincial towns, and with the $50million loan provided from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, Davit Lokyan, told the above-said to reporters.

Lokyan noted that Vanadzor—the third largest city of Armenia, resort towns of Jermuk, Tsaghkadzor, and Dilijan as well as Ashtarak were selected as the first five towns where this project will be implemented.
General improvement is planned to be carried out with this ADB fund, and construction of recreation and entertainment facilities—in the resort towns.
The private sector also will be involved in these projects.
The minister added that several more towns will be selected for the second phase of this project; and even though the respective final list has not yet been clarified, Gyumri—the second largest city of Armenia—definitely will be among them.
