STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly (NKR/Artsakh NA) President Ashot Ghulyan’s working visit to Paris has kicked off on Tuesday.

On the first day of his trip, the Artsakh parliament speaker met with French NA member and deputy chairman of the France-Karabakh Friendship Circle, Guy Teissier, the NKR NA informed NEWS.am.

At the talk, which was held in the French National Assembly, they discussed cooperation projects between the friendship circles of France and Artsakh.

Subsequently, Ghulyan visited the Armenian embassy in Paris, and met with Ambassador Viguen Tchitetchian.

They reflected on the role of parliamentary diplomacy, in the context of settling the Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict and resolving key regional problems.

In the evening, the Artsakh parliament speaker met with a group of French-Armenian individuals, and handed them the awards that have been granted to them by an NKR presidential decree.

Congratulating these awardees, Ashot Ghulyan praised the role of the Armenian Diaspora in helping the development of Nagorno-Karabakh.
