YEREVAN. - New parties of Armenia will be given one year for registration after their founding congress.

Minister of Justice of Armenia, Arpine Hovhannisyan, stated the aforementioned in the parliament on Wednesday, introducing the new bill on the constitutional Law on Political Parties in the second reading.

Under the previous law, the party could get registered not later than in three months after the founding congress. Over this time the number of party members had to be increased from 100 to 1000. Now the requirements have become much more lenient: a year is given for registration, while the number of party members at the moment of registration should amount to 800.
