Beijing authorities banned the traffic of half of the vehicles, after there had been set the highest level of air pollution in Beijing, informs Beijing Municipality.

The authorities allowed the management of enterprises to change their work schedule and suggested them work from home, whereas kindergartens and schools would follow a flexible schedule. The construction was suspended in the city.  Some enterprises imposed limitation in the working agendas to prevent increase of harmful substances to the air.

The level of threat is considered as high within the framework of the Emergency Plan, Beijing was adopted in 2013, when dense fog remains in the city for more than 72 hours.
