YEREVAN. - The establishment of the so-called ''platform'' with the representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society indeed resembles a comedy.  

Head of the European Integration NGO, Karen Bekaryan, who is also an MP from the Republican Party of Armenia, said the aforementioned at a press-conference on Friday.  

But at the same time, this is a very big problem. ''This overall devalues and discredits the institute of national diplomacy. Secondly, this shows that Azerbaijan has changed its tactics: if everyone who communicated with Armenians appeared in prisons before, now it is necessary to make up Armenians, who it is possible to communicate with and not appear in prison. That is, here we deal with quite a cynical approach,'' Bekaryan noted.

According to him, the most terrible thing here is that certain international public figures have already come up with not very normal reactions, without deeply understanding what is going on in reality.

''It is necessary to draw the attention of the international community to the threats and challenges stemming from this,'' the MP added.
