Russia urges EU politicians and Ankara to show restraint, Turkey and the Netherlands do not need intermediaries while settling relations, RIA Novosti reported quoting Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“With respect to the conflict situation between Turkey and the Netherlands, certainly, we call both on the Hague, and Ankara for restraint, for constructivism in the de-escalation of the tension which has arisen between two countries,” Peskov told reporters, answering about Kremlin’s attitude towards the diplomatic row between Turkey and the Netherlands.

Earlier it was reported, the Dutch authorities banned holding of a rally supporting changes in Turkey’s constitution, prevented the landing of Turkey’s foreign minister and detained of Turkey’s family affairs minister Fatma Betul Sayan Kaya close to the consulate in Rotterdam.
