Sukhoi Superjet 100 landed in “Shirak” airport in Gyumri (Armenia) to be tested on take-off and landing characteristics and climb in high-mountainous area. The tests will demonstrate the plane’s capacity to maintain safe take-offs and landings in severe environment, “Civil Aircraft Sukhoi” press service informed.

Armenian Air company “Armavia” is first to purchase SU Superjet 100, whereas first production aircraft will be on the market in the end of 2009.

“Shirak” international airport was constructed in 1961, and updated in 2007.
