YEREVAN. – The newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil to Armenia Agemar de Mendonça Sanctos presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

According to the press office of the President, Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment. The President hoped the ambassador would make a significant contribution to the development of Armenia-Brazil relations. Serzh Sargsyan noted the importance of consistent work on the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent visit of Brazil's Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira to Armenia.

Armenian president noted the important role of the Armenian community in Brazil for the development of bilateral relationships.

Agemar de Mendonça Sanctos said he would do his best to strengthening of Armenia-Brazil relations. He noted that having visited Armenia as part of the delegation led by the Brazil's Foreign Minister, he had already managed to form an idea of the most important fields of cooperation.

Armenian president and the Ambassador of Brazil highlighted the importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary meetings and the activities in both parliaments.
