The decision made by the Heritage Party Board is illegal, the former Vice-Chairman Movses Aristakesyan told reporters.

The Board decided to expel Zoya Tadevosyan, Vardan Khachatryan and Movses Aristakesyan from the Heritage Party.

Aristakesyan reported that the party’s rules do not allow personal issues to be discussed in the absence of party members. According to his, he did not receive any written notice. One more gross violation is that Zoya Tevosyan is not listed among the six expelled members. He is sure that the decision cannot have any legal force and plans to apply to the RA Ministry of Justice. As to who is responsible for the party split, Aristakesyan said: “I lay the blame on ourselves.” He does not yen plan to leave the party as long as “seven local chapters are besides” him.

Aristakesyan pointed out Heritage Party Chairman Armen Martirosyan’s “love for culture”. Martirosyan regularly visits exhibitions of paintings by RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, which is a reason for suspecting him of “collaboration with the authorities.”
