US Secretary of Defense James Mattis stressed his confidence in the need for diplomatic efforts on the North Korea, Reuters reported.
“I am not willing to say that diplomacy has not worked. We will continue to work diplomatically, we will continue to work through the United Nations, the United Nations Security Council and we will be unrelenting in that,” Mattis said.
At the same time, Mattis noted that US diplomats will speak from a position of strength, since they have military options.
