State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Davit Ananyan on Friday received Jassim Mohammed Mubarak Al Qasimi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Armenia.

The diplomat reflected on the planned UAE investments to Armenia, and to promote them, he expressed a wish to get the assistance of the Armenian government—including its customs and tax authorities. The SRC chief, for his part, expressed readiness to assist UAE businesses in this regard, and he stressed the importance of such investments.

Also, the Armenian side proposed to take steps toward having more favorable cooperation between the customs agencies of the two countries.

In addition, Ananyan recommended discussing, within the framework of the Armenia-UAE intergovernmental commission, the expedience of creating a new platform for information exchange between the tax and customs authorities of the two countries.
