Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan has not only said that he will increase the attacking forces, but has also said that we are in that stage, including in terms of ammunition and military equipment. This is what Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan told journalists at the National Assembly on 9 April.
As for Azerbaijan, which has viewed Davit Tonoyan’s statement as aggression, Gabriel Balayan said the following: “Viewing the minister’s statement as aggression is nonsensical. Perhaps our adversaries simply haven’t delved into the meaning of the minister’s statement. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia also said that Armenia can also impose peace. Everything is clearly stated in the program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.’
According to him, nobody has given peace as a gift to Armenia. “Peace and the relative tranquility are imposed on the adversary. If the adversary tries to unleash a war again, we will impose peace again. There are different means of imposing peace. There are military measures, and it can be done through personal and diplomatic contacts.”
