German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s mother, Herlind Kasner, has died at the age of 90, stated Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokesman, Steffen Seibert, RIA Novosti reported quoting SUPERillu magazine.
"We ask to respect the personal life of the Chancellor and her family,” added Seibert.
Angela Merkel is now in Brussels at an extraordinary EU summit on Brexit.
