Sudan’s Defense Minister Awad Ibn Auf has stepped down as head of the country’s transitional military council.
He announced this Friday at a press conference in Khartoum, Russian News Agency TASS reported.
Chief inspector of the Sudanese armed forces, Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Burhan, will be the new head of the transitional military council.
Sudan’s military, led by the country's defense minister, had announced the ousting and arrest of nations’ longtime President Omar al-Bashir.
