President of France Emmanuel Macron intends to interrupt his vacation at Fort de Bregancon residence to attend the funeral service for President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi on Saturday, BFM TV reported Friday, citing its sources.

Beji Caid Essebsi died Thursday at the age of 92. The farewell ceremony will be held on July 27, and Prime Minister of Tunisia Yusef Shahed declared a 7-day mourning on the occasion of the death of the head of state.

According to the President’s son, Hafez Caid Essebsi, his father died from food poisoning, as reported TASS.
