Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar said his country hopes to overcome disagremeents with the U.S. over F-35 production.

“We hope that we will continue producing them. There are some issues right now, but I believe these issues will be overcome,” he said in an interview with Reuters.

Washington removed Ankara from a joint F-35 production program after Turkey purchased S400 systems from Russia.
