YEREVAN. - The Armenian Commission for Protection of Economic Competition decided to conduct daily monitoring of the economic entities working in the egg market.
The commission’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the monitoring results show increased demand in eggs in Armenia during the Easter season every year. Therefore, the commission decided to prevent any abuse.
The commission will demand full information on daily output, sales, stock in trade and selling prices from the economic entities. Economic entities also have to explain the reasons for price changes. The commission will also demand information on egg supplied from supermarkets.
The commission’s monitoring group continues daily monitoring of retail outlets, with focus on the egg market.
