YEREVAN. - Armenia again threw the ball to Ankara’s court - Turkish state television responded to the Armenian President’s statement in Slovenia, Azg newspaper writes.

“Our other neighbor, Turkey, which also inclines towards Europe, does not want to open the border with Armenia, though it has assumed an international obligation to do so,” Sargsyan had said in his speech in Slovenia.

“President of Armenia reiterated his usual phrase, saying Yerevan will not ratify the protocols unless the documents are ratified in the Turkish parliament without preconditions," television mentioned. “The Armenia-Turkey Protocols have not yet been ratified at the two states’ parliaments. Yerevan suspended the ratification of documents last April. However, during his visit to Slovenia, Sargsyan said Armenia did not halt the normalization process.”

Sargsyan stressed Yerevan will not make any moves unless the Turkish side ratifies the documents. Turkey sets Karabakh conflict resolution as a precondition to the protocols’ ratification. However, Sargsyan reiterated Armenia cannot accept any preconditions and nor will it do.
