Rains and strong winds hit the UK: the country is preparing to face Ciara storm, BBC News reported. 

Airlines canceled dozens of domestic and international flights, and drivers of land vehicles were warned to exercise caution. Cancellations of trips also threaten passengers traveling by sea.

Weather warnings have been issued: wind speeds of up to 144 km / h are expected. Over 150 flood warnings have been announced throughout the UK.

Heathrow International Airport said it had decided to minimize flights while negotiating with the airlines.
