“I do not believe that the existing format of negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute will be changed in the near future. The parties to the conflict are working on the text of the agreement,” the diplomat said. According to the ambassador, each country presents its arguments and puts forward its own interests. “It is not bad. The point is whether the activities of the subcommittee on Karabakh will contribute to the negotiation process. Yet, it is better to talk in ten places, rather than fight in one,” the official noted.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on January 28, 2011 the subcommittee of Nagorno-Karabakh resumed its activities at the CE Parliamentary Assembly (PACE). Jordi Xuclà i Costa was elected new chairman of PACE sub-committee on Karabakh during meeting of the PACE bureau.
