Over 68 thousand COVID-19 new cases have been confirmed per day in the US. For the third day in a row, the number of victims of the disease in the country exceeds a thousand people. The data are cited by experts at Johns Hopkins University.

Thus, 68 thousand 663 cases were reported, 1,114 people died.

Earlier, WHO representatives reported a global increase in the number of cases. During the day, the number increased by over 284 thousand people and exceeded 15.29 million.

The daily death toll increased by almost 10 thousand and approached 629 thousand cases.
