The Institute of Molecular Medicine in Lisbon has developed the first protective mask capable of neutralizing the COVID-19, TASS reported referring to La Razon.

According to it, this is a highly effective reusable mask. The institute noted that the protective equipment was developed using a special fabric, which consists of several different waterproof layers. The tests carried out have confirmed the effectiveness of the product in protecting against COVID-19.

The mask has an innovative coating that neutralizes the SARS-CoV-2 virus when it comes into contact with tissue, the institute noted.
