Tropical storm Isaias has formed in the Atlantic Ocean, the National Hurricane Center noted.

According to him, the speed of wind gusts within a tropical storm reaches 23 m/s. It is located about 250 km south of the Puerto Rican port of Ponce and is moving northwestward at a speed of about 8.7 m/s.

The NY Times reported referring to the Center that 'the storm is expected to pass over Hispaniola on Thursday and the Southeastern Bahamas by early Friday.'
