Bahrain will allow all flights arriving and departing from the United Arab Emirates to cross the kingdom's airspace, AP reported.

Bahrain's state news agency reported this without naming Israel directly, as Saudi Arabia did. However, the announcement came just days after Riyadh authorized the first direct Israeli commercial passenger flight to use the airspace to reach the UAE.

The statement did not mention the kingdom's rival Iran, or Qatar, which is currently being boycotted by Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Flights between Bahrain and the UAE pass just north of Qatar's airspace. Iranian flights to the UAE also do not need to enter Bahrain airspace.

Earlier this week, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and senior adviser to the US president, flew with a senior Israeli delegation from Tel Aviv to the UAE for the first direct commercial passenger flight between the two countries.
