India has confirmed 94,372 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country's total number of cases to 4.75 million, AP reported.
The health ministry also reported 1,114 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 78,586.
While infections in India are growing faster globally, the number of people recovering from the virus has also skyrocketed. According to the health ministry, the country's recovery rate is 77.77%, and nearly 70,000 recoveries are reported daily.
