The gas crisis in European countries may continue for several winters due to the reduction in gas supplies from Russia, said executive director of the British-Dutch oil and gas company Shell Ben van Beurden during a press conference in Norway, Reuters reported.
"It may well be that we will have a number of winters where we have to somehow find solutions," van Beurden said.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer called on the EU countries to make a unified decision to limit electricity tariffs in connection with a sharp rise in energy prices.
Later, the Prime Minister of the German federal state of Bavaria, Markus Soeder, said that Germany had not yet found a replacement for Russian gas.
