Ukraine has not ruled out that more companies will have to be nationalized if their management does not fully support the government amid the current situation, the Financial Times reports.
According to Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko, Ukrainian authorities are making sure that private companies and their management are fully focused on supporting the country's military and economy.
As Galushchenko added, if the country's authorities see that someone tries to play games separately, rather than seeking to help Ukraine, separate decisions will be made on the form and ownership of businesses, including the transition to state control.
According to the FT, few details were given from Kiev's side about the decision-making process leading to takeovers, or about financial compensation to private shareholders as part of business nationalization.
