TSKHINVALI. - Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) observers’ mission recognized the elections in South Ossetia and considered them to be in keeping with the country’s law and international electoral standards.   

During South Ossetia Central Election Commission’s press conference, NKR MFA Chief of Staff Semyon Afiyan noted that these elections were an important factor in South Ossetia’s future development and the democratization of its societal life, RES News Agency informed.  

NKR representative also expressed bewilderment that several international organizations did not recognize the legality of the first-round results of the presidential elections in South Ossetia.
