Starting from January 1, Armenia’s Control Chamber will conduct operative monitoring within the system of pensions and benefits, the Chamber’s Chairman Ishkhan Zakaryan stated during a press conference on Friday.      

In his words, this means the Control Chamber must have one department, in every region of Armenia, which will monitor as to how the pensions are calculated, whether they reach the right destination, and whether the calculations are accurate. “Head of the given service, or the employee who allowed the violation recorded in the beneficiary system, must be held to the fullest accountability,” Ishkhan Zakaryan noted.
