YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan received experts from the European Investment Bank (EIB), during which the parties discussed the project toward modernizing Armenia’s three northern border checkpoints of Bagratashen, Gogavan, and Bavra.

To note, EIB will co-finance this comprehensive project. 

Baghdasaryan noted that two important phases of the process were carried out this year, and they are the development of the technical task and of the plan for the necessary construction. And the international tender for construction companies is expected to start in early 2012. 

The parties also examined and clarified the matters concerning the implementation of the project, and they reached accordance on carrying out the documentations of the process as quickly as possible, NSC Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
