An explosion occurred in Tehran, reports RIA Novosti.

On the night of Friday, Israel launched strikes on Iran. The objective of the operation was the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic. The Israeli Air Force struck uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz and Fordow, missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorramabad, as well as Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and other major Iranian cities.

As a result of the strikes, IRGC commander Hossein Salami, Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri, commander of the IRGC air defense base "Khatam al-Anbiya", Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, and other senior military officials, as well as 6 nuclear scientists, were killed. Explosions were also reported at the nuclear facility in Natanz. According to Iranian agencies, 78 people were killed and more than 300 were injured in the Israeli strikes.

In response, Iran is launching missiles toward Israel, resulting in 35 people being injured.

The IRGC reported that it struck military targets and airbases, as well as military-industrial centers that were used by Israel for missile production.
