ALEPPO.- Relatives of filmmaker Avo Kaprealian informed the headquarters providing aid to Aleppo Armenians about his detention by the Syrian Security Service, community representative in Aleppo Zhirayr Reisian told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Reisian said the headquarters members are taking certain moves on Kaprealian’s detention.
“Several young people are in the Security Service to clarify the details. The Service said Avo and his friends are suspected of breaching the law,” he said, adding the details are not disclosed.
Avo Kaprealian was born in 1985 in Aleppo. He studied at Haigazian Armenian Elementary school, graduated from Damascus University’s theatre and cinema department. After returning to Aleppo, he started teaching in art and theater in Akkad institute..
